STOP OVERDEVELOPMENT IN TRING
Dacorum’s draft Local Plan proposes a huge 45% increase in Tring’s size (2,250 new houses) - far higher than the Borough-wide 25% rise. This is planned for the Marshcroft and New Mill sites to the east of town and the Dunsley site near the A41. Tring is being unfairly burdened. Hemel-based Dacorum has silenced many of our Borough Councillors and is dumping its housing allocations on Tring.
WHAT'S AT RISK?
No guaranteed additional infrastructure – schools, doctors, services, and roads will rely on house builders’ promises and there are many examples up and down the country where these have not been fulfilled.
Destruction of green belt – every planned house will be built on high-quality green belt land beside the Chiltern hills (AONB)

DONATE TO SUPPORT OUR FIGHT
Generous donations so far have enabled us to hire expert planning consultants and start developing our strategy to fight this. We need to reach our target of £20,000 to complete this work, and fund necessary reports on Highways and other infrastructure, including fresh and foul water provisions. Reaching a target of £60,000 would enable us additionally to hire planning barristers to arm us with legal advice and expertise for the Examination in Public.

About the Grove Fields Residents Association
The Grove Fields Residents Association, established in 2017, is a grassroots group of concerned local Tring residents fighting to keep the identity and beauty of this community that we call home intact.
Partnered with the CPRE and the Chiltern Society to protect our countryside
Delivered over 6000 consultation response forms to every house in Tring
To date, the Grove Fields Residents Association has raised £50,000 to fight developers at the Marshcroft and New Mill appeal - leading to a government decision in our favour. However, Dacorum still forced their allocations on Tring despite this.
